I am frequently asked what I do to my hair to make it long and thick and the answer is simple: love it!
Since I was a youngster my hair has been extremely thick and even coarse so I have always needed to find ways to keep it hydrated. HOWEVER, I didn't actually start putting effort into doing this until that past few years.
As a firm believer of only using ingredients that come from this earth to help heal our bodies, I stay away from harsh chemicals, as much as I can anyway. Which brings me to my simple 2 step hair mask.
I guess if you count washing your hair first then this mask requires 3 steps but the mask itself only takes two crucial steps.
So, start by...
1. heating up 1-2 tbsp of organic coconut oil in the microwave for 1 minute
Hop in the shower and wash your hair. Regular shampoo/conditioner wash. (bring the coconut oil into the shower with you) Then when you're done showering...
2. dip the ends of your hair into the coconut oil and pour the remaining oil over your scalp
To finish, wrap your hair in a towel for at least 5 minutes. When you're ready remove the towel, brush, braid, and leave in over night. Your hair will feel a little different because some oil remains but it will make your hair heavier. *If you have thinner hair you may not need an entire cup of oil but you be the judge!
